ACSI serves campers throughout Europe via, among others, Eurocampings.eu, CampingCard.com and their corresponding apps.
ANDELST – Two leading European players on the campsite market, ACSI and camping.info, will be combining their forces with respect to online campsite bookings. Launching ACSI camping.info Booking means that campsites are now connected to the two largest European campsite platforms with only one contract. Ramon van Reine, ACSI CEO: “With 40 million visits to our joint websites and apps, we offer campsites throughout all of Europe the fantastic opportunity of showing their available camping pitches and accommodation and realising bookings.”
Platform strategy
Van Reine: “We centralise our knowledge in the area of software development and have created a technical platform that will run on both channels. This will allow us to continue to develop more quickly and facilitate as many campsites as possible throughout all of Europe. You could compare this to the automobile industry, where one platform of a concern is used for several makes of cars. These makes compete for consumers, which is something that ACSI and camping.info will continue to do for campers. The platform will begin functioning on 11 May." Maximilian Möhrle, camping.info CEO, says with confidence: “Our system is already the most complete that the market has to offer now and, now that we are able to develop further together, it will only get better!”
Better service for campsite and the camper
For years, both companies have offered campers the possibility of finding a campsite online. ACSI serves campers throughout Europe via, among others, Eurocampings.eu, CampingCard.com and their corresponding apps. Camping.info is the largest campsite platform on the German-speaking market. Both parties were looking for a way to make it easier for campsites to be able to be booked for a large group of campers with as little effort as possible. For Van Reine and Möhrle, collaboration between the two family businesses is therefore a logical step. “We want to join forces in the areas in which we can realise solutions together. This enables us to offer a better service to both the campsite and the camper,” explains Möhrle.
