Countdown to the opening of Design Hotel Levi in Finnish Lapland

Lapland’s most high profile hotel opening for 2019 will open on 30th November focusing on art and design in one of the leading skiing destinations in all of the Nordics and most popular year round activity destinations.

Design Hotel Levi is the new luxury design hotel opening in the village of Levi in Finnish Lapland on 30th November. Levi is one of the Nordic’s largest winter sports areas offering both extensive downhill ski and snowboarding as well as cross country skiing, snowshoeing and fat biking with the season long-lasting running well into May.

The £10 million project sees the largest hotel project in the Arctic region this year with a particular focus on Nordic art and design.

The hotel is being built adjacent to its sister hotel, Levi Hotel and Spa and has 77 rooms and suites whihc combine Arctic nature into the design.

The hotel caters for couples, groups and families alike, those looking for luxury accommodation with a convenient central location for access to the village’s first class snow slopes and a huge choice of winter activities and Arctic fun for all the family including the opportunity to go and seek out Santa.

Location and Dining Options
The new hotel is located at the foot of Levi Ski Resort slopes, right in the heart of Levi Village with guests having direct access to sister hotel Levi Hotel Spa Resort's spa, choice of restaurants and other extensive facilities including the Waterworld which will be popular with families.

Guests will have access to the fine dining restaurant Kekale serving breakfast and dinner which will offer an impressive open charcoal kitchen offering quality, seasonal Arctic flavors. In addition, a choice of three other resturants are available including a Pizza restaurant as well as the Joiku music bar.

The Levi region offers one of the largest choices of activities in the Arctic region. During the winter there are 230kms of maintained cross country tracks, 886kms of snowmobile trails, 20kms of winter walking and biking routes for visitors to enjoy

Add in northern lights snowmobile safaris, ice karting, cross country snowshoeing, moonlit horseriding adventures, visits to Santa’s cabin, to more holistic experiences such as ’latte and art’ walks and ’tree cocooning’, there is something for couples, groups and families alike of every age range.
