InterContinental Hotels Group, the world`s most global hotel company, has appointed Roula Selim Mitri as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Crowne Plaza, Beirut.



The Lebanese national – who is fluent in English, Arabic and French – is thrilled with the opportunity to prove herself in the new role at Crowne Plaza Beirut, and she looks forward to building on the experience that she gained in her prior role as Director of Sales at the Holiday Inn Dunes in Beirut.



Dedicated to learning, Mitri graduated with a Diplome d`Etudes Approfondies (DEA) in Translation at the Saint Joseph University (USJ), Languages and Translation Institute (ILT), School of Translators and Interpreters of Beirut (ETIB). Additionally, in 1999 she underwent an intensive summer Sales and Marketing course, certified by the American University of Science and Technology of Beirut.



Speaking about her new appointment, Mitri said: The Crowne Plaza Beirut has been a long-time favourite with visitors to Beirut and that makes it wonderful to be working here as part of the team. Additionally, there are so many exciting developments going on here at the moment and this makes it a very dynamic workplace. I look forward to the challenge.



Topping the list of developments at the hotel is the roll-out of WIFI connectivity throughout the property. With plans to make the entire Crown Plaza Beirut wireless by August this year, it is a time of initiative at the premier hotel.



The Crowne Plaza Beirut, which is an exclusive five-star property located in the heart of Beirut`s business and shopping area of Hamra, is located adjacent to elegant boutiques and retail shops, and within walking distance to the renowned seafront promenade.
