General Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing named for November opening.
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites, opening in November 2020 on the Chesapeake Bay, announce the executive appointments of Meredith Bottenfield to General Manager and Lisa Hemphill to Director of Sales & Marketing. Bottenfield and Hemphill collectively bring more than 30 years of experience to the leadership team and will oversee opening efforts for the 295 all-suite property.
As General Manager, Bottenfield will oversee pre-opening and opening initiatives such as managing hotel operations and budgets, recruiting and hiring decisions, guest service inquiries, and upholding brand standards property-wide. Bottenfield is a seasoned industry veteran who has held various leadership positions throughout her career, most recently as the General Manager at the Hyatt House Virginia Beach / Oceanfront.

Hemphill brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role as Director of Sales & Marketing having held positions with Hyatt, Remington Hotels, Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Coastal Hospitality Associates and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. Most recently, Hemphill served as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Kimpton Brice Hotel in Savannah, GA. In her leadership position at Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites, Hemphill will oversee all sales and marketing efforts, including developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans, managing budgets, and securing group and transient business.
Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites will open as the first hotel with its own private beach on the Chesapeake Bay. True to the Simple Made Perfect Delta Suites by Marriott brand, Delta Hotels Virginia Beach will feature spacious one- and two-bedroom suites, simple and sleek design, and amenities such as signature three-meal-per-day restaurant named Tin Cup Kitchen + Oyster Bar, a Grab ‘N Go called Café 2800, an outdoor pool and lounge, kayak and bike rentals, and a 24-7 ultra-modern fitness center.
