Four Points by Sheraton, part of Marriott International’s global brand portfolio, is set to open its first Four Points hotel in the heart of Edinburgh, marking the brand’s first in Scotland and second Four Points property in the UK.
The hotel consists of 69 stylish guestrooms across 4 floors, onsite bar and Italian restaurant, all designed with the smart, independent traveller in mind. With its prime location, modern design and warm Scottish hospitality, Four Points Edinburgh promises to be a preferred destination for both business and leisure travellers seeking an unforgettable stay in the heart of the historic city.
Situated just steps away from Haymarket train station and just one tram stop from the airport, the hotel is perfectly situated for connections to London (just over 4 hours by train) and affords visitors convenient access to the capital’s top attractions, including Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and the vibrant Princes Street shopping district. For rugby fans, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium is also a short tram journey or 20 minutes’ walk away, making this new hotel the ideal choice for guests looking to explore the city’s rich annual calendar of festivities, sports and cultural heritage.
Guests can indulge their taste buds at the hotel’s signature restaurant, where an innovative menu crafted with locally sourced ingredients awaits. The Amalfi-inspired restaurant will aim to transport diners to the enchanting coastal region of Italy. With its vibrant ambiance, authentic flavours, and a centrepiece open pizza oven, Amalfino promises an immersive dining experience that celebrates the rich culinary traditions of Italy. In the evening, guests can relax after a busy day with the Four Points’ signature Best Brews program, which features two local craft beers on tap with distinct taste and popularity, and unique to each specific property around the globe.
Asset manager, Vedrana Riley of Ciel Capital, said, “Four Points by Sheraton Edinburgh represents an outstanding hotel development in the heart of the city’s commercial district and transport intersection, not to mention proximity to nearby Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium, the home of Scottish Rugby.”
Gilbert Grosjean of Park Hotels Holding UK, said: “We’re thrilled to have acquired the hotel and look forward to it seeing it enhance the current hotel offering in Edinburgh”.
The new hotel will be managed by Cycas Hospitality and joins the hotel management company’s portfolio of 50 European hotels, including the recently opened Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly.
