Graduate Auburn

The 177-key hotel will open in September 2024, sitting steps from the Auburn University campus.

AUBURN, ALA. – Graduate Hotels has officially opened reservations for the brand’s 35th property, Graduate Auburn, AL, slated to open in September 2024. Located steps from Auburn University at 202 W Magnolia Avenue, this opening marks the brand’s inaugural hotel in Alabama and the seventh property in Southeastern Conference university markets. Graduate Hotels is a hand-crafted collection of hotels residing in dynamic university-anchored towns across the U.S. and U.K.

Spanning nearly 140,000 square feet, this ground-up property will offer 177 guest rooms spanning five floors. The hotel will feature 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, Graduate Hotels’ signature study table in the lobby, an indoor-outdoor rooftop bar and restaurant, and Bo Jackson’s Beans, a coffee shop and bar created in partnership with Auburn University sports legend and Heisman Trophy winner Bo Jackson (Class of ‘85). Steps from where Jackson’s career began in 1982, the concept will honor his contributions to the sports world and beyond.

“Auburn is a quintessential college town oozing with tradition and charm. It was never about whether we wanted to be in Auburn, but always about finding the right site. Sitting at the corner of Wright Street and W Magnolia Avenue, steps away from Toomer’s Corner, we couldn’t have found a better location,” says Ben Weprin, Founder and CEO of Graduate Hotels. “Auburn boasts a rich heritage and tradition, and we’ve woven subtle and not-so-subtle nods to that history throughout every nook and cranny of the hotel. To truly immerse yourself in the Auburn experience, you must see it yourself.”

Graduate Auburn, AL will draw inspiration from the community’s vibrant spirit and culture as a storied university town. Bespoke design elements featured throughout the hotel reference local heroes, legends, and cherished university traditions, including: a carved wooden statue of Bo Jackson in the lobby bar; guest room sconces that nod to the Auburn University fight song; orange and navy blue furnishings that allude to the school colors; and much more. With a layered, eclectic style that blends modern sophistication with Southern charm, every detail is meticulously curated to create an immersive guest experience that is undeniably Auburn.
