Prestigious Dubrovnik Hotel Set to Undergo a Transformative Renovation Blending Tradition with Modern Elegance.

DUBROVNIK, CROATIA – Adriatic Luxury Hotels announces a renovation of Grand Villa Argentina at the hands of renowned Croatian architect Marko Dabrovic. Reopening in late 2025, the historic property along with its neighboring sister property, Villa Orsula, is set to undergo a complete refurbishment as envisioned by Croatian architectural studio 3LHD. The new Grand Villa Argentina will be a luxury seafront hotel with an unparalleled view of Dubrovnik’s Old Town and the Adriatic Sea, just a five minute walk from the historic center. It will boast the renowned Mediterranean gardens of the original property plus revamped al fresco dining, an expansive spa area, outdoor pool area, and spacious decks overlooking the sea and the Old Town.

The award-winning Croatian architect headlining the project, Marko Dabrovic, grew up in the very neighborhood of Grand Villa Argentina. Marko describes his vision for the renovation project as being “deeply rooted in tradition and the breathtaking landscape that surrounds this historic site.” Inspired by the rich cultural and historical heritage of Dubrovnik, the architectural values of the existing buildings, and the natural beauty of the Adriatic coast, Dabrovic plans to create a unique and harmonious retreat that seamlessly blends the old with the new. The rich layers of Dubrovnik’s history will be reinterpreted alongside bold accents and playful colors reflecting the spirit of the 1970s.

Special attention will be placed on sourcing and implementing natural and local materials such as stone, ceramics, wood, respecting the local heritage and seamlessly integrating the project into its surroundings.
