Hampton Inn & Suites at Kansas Star Casino doubles room total

Expansion makes it the largest Hampton Inn & Suites in the world.

MULVANE, KS – The Hampton Inn & Suites at the Kansas Star Casino opened 150 additional rooms on August 15. This planned expansion comes as the Kansas Star Casino nears completion of its final phase of construction that began in March 2011 and will add a convention center and equestrian center to the $330 million development.

The expansion of the hotel meets the growing travel needs of guests who come for arena, convention and equestrian center events. Consisting of 300 rooms, including multiple king studio suites, the newly expanded Hampton Inn & Suites is the largest in the world.

“By doubling our size, we’re excited to offer even more quality and service,” said Ruth Matous, director of sales at the Kansas Star Hampton Inn. “We’re making the best casino hotel in Kansas even better.”

“It’s exciting to see this project, which started as just an empty field, turn into a thriving complex,” said Scott Cooper, general manager of Kansas Star Casino. “What began as a vision held by so many is now a powerful driver of economic development for our communities and state.”

The hotel offers amenities such as hot breakfast, a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center and an indoor swimming pool with hot tub. All guest rooms are outfitted with the Clean and Fresh Hampton Bed featuring fluffy duvet inserts and four signature pillows, a guest favorite. All rooms come with free high-speed internet access. In addition to more square footage, king studio suites also feature a sleeper sofa, bar sink, under-the-counter refrigerator and microwave.

“We are excited to offer new and returning guests great attractions and top-notch service to complement their stay,” said Cooper. “We have fine dining at the award-winning Woodfire Grille and our other great restaurants as well as an expansive casino floor with more than 1,800 slot machines and 50 table games.”
