GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS – Anticipation is growing in Grand Cayman as IHG Hotels & Resorts and Dart Properties prepare to unveil their latest Caribbean resort, Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman. The highly awaited grand opening is scheduled for April 2024, offering guests an island experience that celebrates the cultural richness of the Cayman Islands.

Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman, a unique oasis enhanced by local elements, bohemian design, and attentive service, will feature 282 guest rooms and suites, a multi-concept epicurean hub for dining, an outdoor deck with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, over 7,500 square feet of meeting and event space, as well as the island’s first rooftop lounge, which will feature innovative cocktails and Latin-inspired fare.

Steven Andre, Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman’s General Manager, stated, “Our team has diligently worked to create a distinctive and welcoming space that reflects the unmistakable charm of Grand Cayman. We believe that Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman will be a sought-after destination for travelers and a source of pride for the local community.”

The opening of Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman represents Dart Properties’ IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio expansion, currently comprised of the award-winning Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa. Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman provides guests with convenient access to the best of the destination, including Seven Mile Beach, Stingray City, Camana Bay’s high-fashion boutiques, and the National Gallery’s Caymanian arts. The hotel offers an array of experiences, from poolside lounging to creative culinary concepts, including a reservation-only and rotating concept exhibition kitchen, a sushi counter, and the area’s first premier rooftop lounge.

Every Hotel Indigo takes inspiration from its local neighborhood and is designed to ignite curiosity in its guests. Keeping this ethos top of mind, Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman delivers a beautiful perspective of the area, bringing the destination’s legendary sights, sounds, and flavors into each space. Overseeing the hotel’s architecture and interior design is Farouki Farouki, a New Orleans-based architecture and interior design practice. Farouki Farouki based its vision on Grand Cayman’s unique culture, embodying the island’s lush topography through warm and cool color palettes. The art and design pay tribute to the island’s natural landscapes, historical figures, and cultural traditions, featuring hand-made pottery vessels and curated artwork by local Caymanian and Caribbean artists. Guest rooms reflect the island’s relaxed spirit with earthy tones, clean lines, and modern amenities such as HDTV, Bluetooth radio, and rain shower heads.

Service at Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman evokes a sense of calm and serenity. Stand-out amenities include a 24-hour onsite fitness center, premium poolside cabana service, beach chair and umbrella services, premium high-speed Wi-Fi, complimentary in-room pour-over coffee and tea station, and complimentary bikes for island exploration.

Even with an opening date a few months away, Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman has already received critical acclaim. In September 2023, the property was recognized at the Americas Property Awards in the Hotel Architecture and New Hotel Construction & Design categories for the Cayman Islands.
