IHG welcomes Staybridge Suites Atlanta Airport hotel

First Staybridge Suites hotel for South Atlanta adds to brand’s growing portfolio in Georgia.

ATLANTA – InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announces the opening of the Staybridge Suites Atlanta Airport hotel, located just a short distance from Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, one of the world’s busiest airports. With the addition of this property, there are now four Staybridge Suites hotels open in the metro Atlanta area and eight in Georgia. An additional property is also in the pipeline for the Atlanta area, making the brand one of the most prominent upscale extended stay brands in the state.

“We’re very pleased to welcome the Staybridge Suites Atlanta Airport hotel to our swiftly growing family of upscale extended stay hotels,” said Robert Radomski, vice president, Brand Management, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites brands. “Whether traveling on business, relocating or planning a vacation with family, guests traveling to metro Atlanta will find that the Staybridge Suites brand offers the best of home and hotel.”

The hotel is a short drive away from Atlanta’s vibrant downtown area – home to popular attractions such as the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, Centennial Park (commemorating the Olympic Games held in Atlanta in 1996) and the CNN Center.

Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near various corporate offices and the new North American headquarters for Porsche.

The Staybridge Suites Atlanta Airport hotel is owned and operated by Apsilon Management Atlanta LLC and is franchised by an affiliate of IHG.

“While we (Apsilon Management Atlanta LLC) have three other IHG-branded hotels, this is our first Staybridge Suites hotel, so we are excited to add the flag to the portfolio and grow the brand here in metro Atlanta,” said Jamie Carden, general manager, Staybridge Suites Atlanta Airport hotel. “With numerous businesses close by, we look forward to providing a warm and home-like atmosphere for our guests.”

The seven-story property features 149 well-designed spacious suites (studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom/two-bath). All suites include flat screen TVs, in-room DVD/CD players; a highly functional work area separate from living areas; speaker phones, personal voice mail and complimentary local phone calls; and fully equipped kitchens, complete with a full-size refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, stovetop and dishwasher. The hotel features over 4,500-square-feet of flexible meeting space, distributed across five meeting rooms that can seat up to 60 and an additional one on the lobby level that can accommodate up to 100.

Consistent with the Staybridge Suites brand, the new hotel offers exceptional home-like surroundings including a daily complimentary hot breakfast featuring Wolfgang Puck coffee; complimentary Laundry Room and Fitness Room; a complimentary 24-hour Business Center; a guest library with books and games for guest use free of charge; as well as The Pantry, the hotel’s 24-hour convenience store stocked with snacks, sundries, beverages and easy-to-prepare meals. Additionally, guests can connect throughout the hotel with free Wireless Anywhere.

Guests can enjoy the hotel’s sport court, complimentary parking and the brand’s new Outdoor Living Room, featuring a place where guests can relax and interact in comfortable outdoor courtyard surroundings. They are also invited to get comfortable and meet and greet one another in the hotel’s Great Room for The Social evening receptions, which are offered three days a week and include complimentary refreshments and customizable entrees.

All Staybridge Suites hotels participate in IHG’s guest loyalty program, IHG Rewards Club. All IHG Rewards Club members will have access to free Internet globally in 2014.
