King Street Townhouse unveils new gym and spa

A new destination for unforgettable spa experiences in the heart of the city centre.

Iconic Manchester hotel, King Street Townhouse, has revealed its brand-new, purpose-built gym and spa facilities, bringing an elevated fitness and wellbeing experience to the city centre. 

Located in a historic Grade-II listed Italian Renaissance building within the upper King Street conservation area, the new King Street Townhouse Gym & Spa, designed by EPR Architects, creates a luxury wellness experience in line with the hotel’s ‘no ordinary’ ethos.

Featuring an immune-boosting Himalayan salt cave, an unrivalled choice of spa treatments from holistic wellbeing brand ESPA, and a range of UK-exclusive facials from leading skincare and wellness brand Perricone MD, the King Street Townhouse Gym & Spa offers an urban spa retreat like no other.

The Gym & Spa
A stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the subterranean escape comprises of a soothing palette of calming neutrals with contemporary, natural materials such as timber, marble, and stone to evoke a sense of deep relaxation and calm.

Each area has been impeccably crafted with luxurious wellness in mind, including carefully considered lighting to create a nurturing environment and complement the aromatherapeutic qualities of the various treatments on offer.

The spa includes four treatment rooms; thermal suite; eucalyptus steam room; ice fountain; heated loungers; relaxed dining in the calming spa lounge; and a full treatment menu, including bespoke treatments exclusive to King Street Townhouse from leading skincare and wellness brands ESPA and Perricone MD.

The ESPA Rebalance & Restore Ritual – designed specifically for King Street Townhouse Gym & Spa by the world-renowned holistic wellbeing and spa brand – is an uplifting massage featuring salt stones, a rose quartz facial, scalp massage and salt inhalation to leave the body, skin, and mind feeling re-balanced and radiant.

And, in a UK-exclusive, King Street Townhouse has partnered with Perricone MD to create a range of bespoke, specialist spa treatments. Guests of the King Street Townhouse Gym & Spa will be the first in the UK to experience the targeted, results-driven facials which highlight the brand’s advanced techniques and holistic approach to skin health like never before. 

Providing a 360° approach to wellness, guests can also enhance their physical and mental wellbeing with a new state-of-the-art gym facility. Within the four specially designed workout zones – cardio, functional, strength and free weights – guests will find an advanced selection of fitness equipment to suit all strengths and abilities.

Whether visitors are seeking a simple 30-minute HIIT workout or a full day of uncompromising relaxation, the King Street Townhouse Gym & Spa provides a distinctive experience to suit people of all lifestyles and wellness routines.

Food & Beverage
The relaxing Spa Lounge offers a balanced menu of both light and nutritious food and refreshments, as well as indulgent treats and beverages, with a range of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options.

For the early risers, sweet and savoury breakfast options include Huevos Rancheros, Homemade Acai Bowls, or Fluffy Japanese Pancakes. Afternoon bites include a range of delicious hot and cold small plates from Chicken Gyoza and Chilli & Garlic King Prawns to citrus marinated Stone Bass and Yellowfin Tuna in a yuzu dressing.

For something sweet, the Cake & Bubbles menu provides the perfect opportunity to share special moments and create lasting memories. A unique take on the traditional ‘sweet course’ is a parade of exceptional desserts, including Berry Roulade and Double Belgian Chocolate Marquise that pair perfectly with a curated selection of teas, champagnes, and sparkling wine.
