Luxury Villa Company BeautifulPlaces appoints Mo Sallah Vice President and General Manager for Virgin Islands

Mo Sallah brings broad luxury hospitality and executive management experience – as well as an encyclopedic knowledge of the region – having served his entire career in the islands.

BeautifulPlaces, a leading international luxury villa hospitality company, has appointed Mo Sallah Vice President and General Manager, Virgin Islands. BeautifulPlaces has a portfolio of 475 villas and estates worldwide with more than 165 located in the Caribbean. The company’s Caribbean division is headquartered on St. Thomas.

Sallah brings broad luxury hospitality and executive management experience – as well as an encyclopedic knowledge of the region – having served his entire career in the islands. He has served as General Manager of the Bitter End Yacht Club/Virgin Gorda; General Manager of Light House Bay Resort and The Beach House/Barbuda; Director of Ownership Services at Rendezvous Bay Development Corporation/Anguilla; and began his career in hospitality as Villas Supervisor at Peter Island, BVI.

Per Sallah said, “I am thrilled to be returning to the world of luxury villas, my very first position in the hospitality industry.  Things have changed but my pursuit of superior customer service and operational excellence remains constant and I look forward to developing and fostering new relationships with key constituent… and promoting the Virgin Islands in all aspects of my life.” Sallah brings a unique multi-cultural perspective to his new position have grown up in Gambia, The Netherlands, Washington DC, and BVI.

Sallah replaces Marshall Calder who has left to pursue other interests.  We thank Marshall for his contributions to the company and wish him well in his future endeavors.

Sallah enjoys sailing, scuba diving, and hiking. He has two daughters, Gigi and Elizabeth. He and his wife Mary are expecting another child this fall. He will be headquartered in BeautifulPlaces office on St. Thomas.
