New website helps anglers find their ideal fishing vacation

Site provides searchable index of Pacific Northwest fishing lodges.

VICTORIA, BC, CANADA – Sombrio Ventures Inc. has launched fishlodges.com which aims to simplify the process of finding a fishing lodge. The website consolidates information from individual lodge websites across the web and indexes it in a searchable database. Rather than broadly searching Google, users can perform very detailed searches across all lodges to quickly identify the perfect fishing lodge vacation.

Currently targeting the Pacific Northwest-British Columbia, Alaska, Yukon, Washington and Oregon-fishlodges.com currently features 59 lodges, adding more weekly. All lodge information, like type of boats, fish species available, package prices and more is presented in a clean, mobile-friendly interface.

Users can browse lodges by location using an interactive map, or search all lodges by specific interest, such as lodges with heated boat cabins, fly fishing or steelhead trips. Lodges that are found can be compared “apples-to-apples” and even booked directly on fishlodges.com. All this functionality is offered nowhere else on the Internet currently.

“Because every lodge’s website presents information in a different way, it’s difficult to compare attributes between different options. Our database can be filtered easily so that only lodges with the features you care about can be displayed” states “Head Angler” Tyler Smith. “We have two goals” adds “Chief Navigator” Eric Embacher. “First, provide a more efficient way for anglers to find the perfect lodge. Second, to provide fishing lodges with a no-risk promotional strategy to reach new customers.”

This additional exposure is provided at no risk to lodge owners, as fishlodges.com only takes a commission when it delivers a paid booking, and after the customer has paid in full. “Lodge owners”, says Embacher, “love this, as most marketing requires spend upfront and may or may not generate results.”
