  • Hotel Santavenere

Hotel Santavenere was chosen for its timeless elegance, its breathtaking location overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, and its unwavering commitment to high quality personalised service.

After two years of management by the Egnazia GroupHotel Santavenere joins The Leading Hotels of the World – a collection of the world’s most exclusive independent luxury hotels. Representing the best of luxury hospitality with 400 handpicked hotels and resorts selected for a refined clientele, The Leading Hotels of the World is the largest collection of distinctive independent luxury hotels in the world.

“We are very pleased to welcome the newest member hotel, Hotel Santavenere, to The Leading Hotels of the World,” said Deniz Omurgonulsen, Vice President, Member Experience, The Leading Hotels of the World. “This fascinating 34-room property is nestled in almost 10 hectares of green Mediterranean scrubland, an extensive stretch of private beach and endless local heritage. Featuring design elements dating back to its history starting in 1956, this venue encourages guests to connect with the hotel’s intimate history.”

As of April 2024, guests can expect a new look from Hotel Santavenere thanks to its planned renovations which will see some of the hotel’s rooms made even more elegant and comfortable. Aldo Melpignano, Founder and CEO of Egnazia, said: “Seeing Hotel Santavenere join such a prestigious collection is a source of great satisfaction for all of us. We have been thrilled from the start to be able to collaborate with Arsenale Spa in the management of this hotel, and today we reach an important milestone together in this new story of the Hotel Santavenere. Now we will commit ourselves to working even harder on the destination, a challenge that we are passionate about and believe is very much in our hearts: we want Maratea to become one of the most sought-after destinations for next summer, because we fully recognise its value and its suitability to conquer a prominent position in the Italian touristic leisure scene.”

For the next season, Hotel Santavenere is determined to show travellers the hidden paradise of Maratea. The Italian coastal town is often left out from popular travel itineraries, such as those involving the Amalfi Coast which is only two and a half hours away by car. At Maratea, guests can explore a piece of Italy that still feels exclusive. This destination has exceptional features that make it ready to assert itself on the national and international scene: breathtaking landscapes, wild nature, a clear sea with a thousand shades, a coastline full of inlets and caves to discover, and finally – an authentic “Italian Summer” atmosphere.

Hotel Santavenere is the ideal place for those who wish to discover a hidden corner of Italian beauty in elegant surroundings without compromising on the pleasure of living authentic and exclusive experiences, as these can be organised by the in-house experience provider at the hotel. In fact, the Egnazia group’s main objective is to enhance territories and traditions: a unique heritage to be promoted and protected, offering unique experiences inside and outside the properties.
