In the presence of Princess Majida Raad, Prince Raad Bin Zeid, Head of Petra National Trust, attended the closing ceremony of the International Hospitality Forum which took place from 20 to 22 September in Amman International Exhibition Center.

Petra National Trust participated in the exhibition to promote the preservation of Petra as a world traditional site. This association aims at ensuring a balance between the tourist requirements and the delicate nature of Petra on both the archaeological and the ecological levels.

The forum was organized by the Lebanese company “Hospitality Services” and “Events Unlimited” from Jordan and supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, as well as the Jordan Tourism Board, Jordan’s Hotel Association, Jordan Restaurant Association and the Association of Lebanese Industrialists and Jordan Applied University.

The forum was attended by a large number of visitors of different nationalities. The Iraqi Union of Hotels and Restaurants, as well as a delegation of the Association of Arab Hotels in Palestine, visited the show.

Joumana Dammous Salame, general manager of Hospitality Services, highlighted the resounding success of this fifth edition, assuring that the experience gained from the four previous editions gave the organizers and the supporting bodies the opportunity to create, renovate, as well as add new activities and services to cater to the needs of the professional visitors.

She also added that the success of the forum reflects the developments which Jordan is witnessing and aspiring to. This is reflected in the development of the hospitality sector and the projects of upgrading the infrastructure, thus creating an environment favorable to investment through developing managerial rules and regulations. These steps help achieve the forum’s goals of being a means to introduce these capacities and exhibiting a favorable environment which attracts investors from all over the world.

The forum gathered professionals from the hospitality, foodservice and restaurant sectors, offering specialized companies the opportunity to exhibit their services for those interested in this field from the Middle East region, including Iraq.

More than 150 international and local companies, ranging from the USA, UK, Italy, Australia, France, Lebanon, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Syria, Egypt and Egypt, participated in the forum.

The exhibition witnessed 12 competitions animated by the best chefs in Jordan where around 90 participants competed in preparing and presenting food. And for the first time, the forum included a contest intended for interior designers and architects where new ideas for restaurant and hotels windows design were revealed under the theme of “Window’s Fashion”.
