Radisson SAS Resort, Sharjah, part of the Rezidor SAS Hospitality, plans to create a ferry service to Dubai from its private jetty, making it the first property in the emirate with this unique facility. “We are currently working on finalising the details and hope to start the service once or twice a day for our hotel guests”, said Mr. Guy Chidiac, Radisson SAS Resort, Sharjah. “This will be a unique selling point for the hotel as guests will be able to explore the UAE from a different angle as well as beat traffic”.

Radisson SAS Resort Sharjah has also completed the second phase of its refurbishment, which includes a complete make-over of its all-day dining restaurant, public areas and outdoor facilities. “Now that the second phase is complete, we will gradually start the final stage which is a soft refurbishment of the rooms”, added Chidiac. “The hotel had a record breaking performance last year with occupancies between 95 and 100 per cent”.

The 300-room resort earlier refurbished its ‘Mubarakiya’ ballroom, its ‘souk’ area and health club, which includes a separate gym for ladies and three massage rooms. The design for both phases was carried out by Dubai-based interior design consultancy, Wa International.
