WASHINGTON D.C. – Lore Group announce that Rebecca Carey has been appointed as Regional Director of Food and Beverage for the group’s Washington D.C. properties.

In this new role, Carey will oversee all food and beverage operations at both Riggs Washington D.C. and Lyle Washington D.C., in addition to managing the restaurant and bar teams at both properties, including Café Riggs, Lyle’s, and the recently reopened Silver Lyan.

“We are delighted to welcome Rebecca to the Lore family and are thrilled to have her leading our food and beverage teams in Washington D.C.,” says Abe Liao, Regional General Manager. “As the city continues to reopen and welcome back travelers, Rebecca’s extensive knowledge and expertise will be integral to ensure guests at both Riggs and Lyle have a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.”

Carey brings numerous years of food and beverage and hospitality experience to her new role. Prior to joining Lore, Carey lived in Chicago, serving as the Food and Beverage Director for Viceroy Hotels, after holding the position of Corporate Food and Beverage Director for Aparium Hospitality. Carey also worked as the Director of Service at The Lowell Hotel in New York City, where she oversaw the renovation of its restaurant and bars. While in New York, Carey also held positions at multiple Michelin-starred restaurants, including Piora, Atera and Jean-George’s, where she worked her way up from a Maitre d’ to a dining room manager.

When not at work, Rebecca enjoys spending time at home – mostly in the kitchen – and entertaining friends and family. Originally from Detroit, she considers herself an East Coaster at heart, and is excited to join and explore the D.C. food scene in her new role with Lore Group.
