Rocketmiles announces international hotel expansion, new arline partners

Customers rack up miles for free rravel to Amsterdam, Abu Dhabi and Auckland.4.

CHICAGO – Rocketmiles, a new hotel booking site geared toward travelers who want to stockpile miles for dream vacations, is expanding its breadth of hotel inventory to include popular international destinations such as Paris, London and Tokyo. The company has also added new international airline partners, including Etihad Guest, the loyalty program of Etihad Airways. Rocketmiles customers now have nine airlines whose currency can be used to fund free trips across the U.S. and around the world.

“Customer response to Rocketmiles has been overwhelming since our spring launch. We launched with just 15 cities, and our international expansion means we now have hotels in well over 100 cities around the world. Airline partners have also shared in the early success and we are excited to welcome our Etihad Guest to the program” said Jay Hoffmann, CEO/Cofounder at Rocketmiles.

Rocketmiles customers stay at pre-qualified, preferred hotels and earn an average of 7,000 miles per booking while paying the same rates as found on other hotel booking sites. Considering that an average Rocketmiles customer takes 12 trips per year, they are on track to earn 80,000 miles annually.

“In the three months since Rocketmiles went live, we’ve already had customers earn enough miles for free trips to amazing destinations such as Amsterdam, Abu Dhabi and Auckland,” adds Hoffmann.

“Road warriors have long been reliant upon their flight activity and credit cards to run up their mileage balances. Rocketmiles supports a meaningful third channel that rivals these activities,” said Randy Peterson, founder of Milepoint, FlyerTalk, FlyerGuide, SeatExpert and a host of other travel insider sites.
