Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and HRS Group agree on a strategic partnership

Both companies will be working closely together in the leisure as well as the corporate travel category.

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Asia Pacific’s leading luxury hotel group and HRS Group, one of the leading hotel marketing partners in Europe and Asia have signed a global long-term cooperation agreement.

Both companies will be working closely together in the leisure as well as the corporate travel category. The 82 five-star Shangri-La hotels, which are located in premier city addresses throughout Asia Pacific, North America, the Middle East and Europe will be bookable worldwide on the web pages of HRS Group.

The luxury Shangri-La hotels will be connected to the webpages of the HRS Group via a direct interface in order to provide all rates, availabilities and hotel content information in real-time. Additionally, most of the Shangri-La hotels offer corporate rates, which will be bookable on the HRS and hotel.info corporate portals.

“The HRS Group is an important strategic partner and a strong player across Europe and Asia in the leisure as well as the business travel segment. They will help us to increase our global reach and bring new guests to our hotels”, said Siv Forlie, Vice President of Revenue Management for Shangri-La.

Tobias Ragge, CEO of HRS, added: “We are very pleased about the partnership Shangri-La is one of the most well respected hotel brands in the world. They will expand our incremental hotel content in the luxury five-star-segment and offer us high availability as well as attractive corporate rates for our corporate customers.”

HRS Group’s partnership with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts comes hot on the heels of other agreements with leading hotel groups like Kempinski, Pan Pacific, Taj Hotels or Fairmont Raffles Hotels and Resorts. HRS Group will continue to deepen collaboration with the leading hotel groups to offer a broad variety of hotels worldwide in the high-end categories. The hotel chains gain mutual benefits from HRS Group. The four booking portals HRS, hotel.info, Surprice Hotels and Tiscover complement their existing distribution channels. Overall, the portals record about 20 million visits every month and receive accommodation reservations from more than 40,000 corporate customers worldwide organising business trips and conferences via the portals of the HRS Group.
