One of the UAE`s most distinct resort hotels expects to continue building its appeal to European holidaymakers with the help of some world-famous Swiss expertise.
Staff at Ras Al Khaimah`s Al Hamra Fort Hotel are currently being introduced to Swiss kitchen techniques and reception skills by a team of top chefs and front office staff from the Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne, named Switzerland`s top hotel for the last two years.
Dr Khater Massaad, managing director of the Al Hamra Fort Hotel, said: It`s a valuable exercise which will help us continue to enhance the quality of service we deliver to our European guests.
The Beau-Rivage Palace team were accompanied at the start of their two-week visit to the UAE by the hotel`s general manager, Christian Marich, a close friend of Dr Massaad since they studied together at the University of Lausanne.
Since opening in April 1999, the Al Hamra Fort Hotel has attracted a steady flow of visitors from Switzerland, Germany, Italy and the UK by working closely with European tour operators to promote Ras Al Khaimah`s attractions as a peaceful holiday hideaway.
