TCC property management and Le Meridien sign three new management agreements for hotel projects in Thailand and Cambodia

Leading hotel and real estate owner, TCC Property Management Company Limited and global luxury hotel group, Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, jointly announced the signing of management agreements for three new hotels located in Thailand and Cambodia.



The hotels are:



  • Le Meridien Angkor – a 223-room new build hotel currently in the final phase of construction in the heart of Siem Reap and due to open in early September 2004;

  • Le Meridien Chiang Mai – a 400-room new build hotel due to commence construction on Chan Klan Road in the city centre and due to open in Q4 2006;

  • Le Meridien Bangkok – a 350-room new build hotel located on Surawong Road due to commence construction featuring Le Meridien`s Art + Tech room design concept and scheduled to open in Q4 2006. Once completed, Le Meridien Bangkok will become the sister hotel to Plaza Athenee Bangkok, A Royal Meridien Hotel which Le Meridien also operates on behalf of TCC Property Management Company Limited.



    The signing of the three management agreements by Dr. Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chairman of TCC Property Management Company Limited and Robert Riley, Chief Executive Officer of Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, marks a significant step in the growing relationship between TCC Property Management and Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts.

    About Le Meridien Angkor, Cambodia – opening September 2004 Ideally located between Angkor Wat and the centre of Siem Reap, Le Meridien Angkor with its themed architecture is ideal for travellers seeking adventure as well as for those who prefer to bask in the resort-like atmosphere after a full day`s exploration of the magnificent Angkor Wat.



    The hotel will comprise 223 elegant guestrooms, two restaurants, a bar and a lobby lounge. Other facilities will include a ballroom, meeting rooms, a fully equipped business centre, health club and spa facility offering comprehensive range of spa and beauty services.



    About Le Meridien Chiang Mai, Thailand – opening Q4 2006 Located in the heart of Chiang Mai, right next to the famous night bazaar and main shopping district at Chang Klan Road, Le Meridien Chiang Mai will be a newly built city hotel with 400 state-of-the-art guestrooms. The hotel`s facilities will include a choice of restaurants and bars, meeting and banqueting facilities, swimming pool and a fully equipped spa facility offering a comprehensive range of spa and beauty treatments.



    Le Meridien Chiang Mai is approximately 700 kilometres from Bangkok and is Thailand`s second largest city.



    About Le Meridien Bangkok – opening Q4 2006 Le Meridien Bangkok will be newly built hotel in the heart of Bangkok`s tourist and business hub within close proximity to prominent business and banking headquarters, embassies, major entertainment and shopping centres.
