The Atlantic Hotel & Spa gears up for Coastal’s first anniversary celebration

The Atlantic Hotel & Spa, Coastal.

As Coastal approaches its first anniversary in November, the restaurant has debuted new programs and menu items.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – The Atlantic Hotel & Spa, Fort Lauderdale’s all-suite boutique hotel and local favorite, continues growing its signature restaurant concept, Coastal – a contemporary, Italian-inspired oceanfront eatery – as part of the hotel’s ongoing hotel-wide renovations. As Coastal approaches its first anniversary in November, the restaurant has debuted new programs and menu items. Sparked by a love of Italian ease, Coastal aims to bring that sense of old-world coastal leisure to South Florida.

Executive Chef David “Rocco” Honig has crafted a varied menu of light fare and Italian-inspired favorites, including appetizers such as swordfish meatballs, hand-tossed piadina flatbreads, house-specialty Milanese and shareable entrees. Coastal offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as “all-in-one,” a prix-fixe lunch menu specially designed to accommodate lunch guests in 45 minutes or less. All-in-one guests can choose from three meal options, each including an appetizer, entree, side and dessert.

Brunch enthusiasts are in luck: Coastal’s a-la-carte brunch has been permanently extended to Saturdays and Sundays until 3 p.m. Serving contemporary twists on sweet and savory classics, such as bananas foster French toast, crab cake benedict, and breakfast cocktails, late risers can now enjoy their favorites all weekend long. Brunch is served buffet-style on peak holidays. Brunch-goers also receive complimentary three-hour valet parking while they indulge at Coastal.

Coastal’s daily happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. slings sips and dishes priced at $4 to $7, including a select Cocktail of the Month. September’s Cocktail of the Month is Berrytini, featuring vodka, acai berry liqueur, blood orange, muddled blueberries, shaken and strained into a martini glass, garnished with blueberries and an orange slice.

With a semi-private area which accommodates groups up to 20, Coastal is the perfect setting for intimate social or corporate events. The Coastal sharing menu with family-style starters, big plates and desserts is an ideal option for group occasions.

Looking to dine with your four-legged friend? As part of the hotel’s Very Important Dog (VID) program, Coastal touts its Bark Bites menu, by Florida-based gourmet dog food company barkBISTRO. Dogs are also welcome to dine on Coastal’s ample oceanfront patio.

Part of Coastal’s relaxed vibe is its bright dining room, marked by chic, eclectic decor sourced from online auctions and local artisans. Vintage-style travel posters, distinctive light fixtures, white brick walls, wooden tables and stunning ocean views create an Insta-worthy setting with an elegant color palette of soft yellows, blues, and neutrals.
