The Colonial Inn of Ogunquit, Maine completes $4 million historical renovation

Accommodations at the Colonial Inn are comprised of 62 rooms spread throughout four different buildings. Most rooms in the hotel, some with water views – and every room in the Main Inn itself – boasts a king bed, a refrigerator and new furnishings.

OGUNQUIT, MAINE – The Colonial Inn of Ogunquit, Maine, has completed a $4 million historical renovation. This landmark property, now under new ownership and management, opens today with completely upgraded facilities and a contemporary guest experience – all while retaining the Victorian charm and Maine hospitality known to its visitors for over 125 years.

“It’s a privilege for me to have the opportunity to restore this hotel to its original glory,” explains Maine resident Joe Delois who acquired the property last spring and chose David Lloyd of the Portland firm Archetype Architects to oversee the transformation. “We’ve worked closely with the National Park Service to ensure that the new interior and exterior fixtures and finishes are true to the style of the original building.”

Accommodations at the Colonial Inn are comprised of 62 rooms spread throughout four different buildings. Most rooms in the hotel, some with water views – and every room in the Main Inn itself – boasts a king bed, a refrigerator and new furnishings.

Guest amenities at the Colonial Inn are numerous, including ample free parking, complimentary property-wide Wi-Fi, complimentary continental breakfast, a heated outdoor pool with patio and hot tub, a large lobby, living room, and a spacious wrap around porch and beautifully landscaped exteriors with inviting green spaces.

Commanding a premier location in the center of Ogunquit Village, halfway between downtown and Perkin’s Cove, the Colonial Inn serves as a convenient vantage point from which to explore all that Ogunquit has to offer.  A short walk from Marginal Way and the beautiful beaches that have made the area a popular vacation destination, the hotel features a trolley stop out front allowing guests to leave their cars behind while they enjoy the area.

The Colonial Inn is managed by Migis Hotel Group, a Maine-based hotel management company overseeing a collection of hotels and resorts dedicated to creating a world of relaxation, recreation, and welcome in extraordinary waterfront settings in Maine
