LOS ANGELES – The Concourse Hotel at Los Angeles Airport previewed a completely reimagined outdoor space, a major part of its extensive transformation to become Hyatt Regency Los Angeles Airport in early 2016. Located directly behind the hotel, the space will serve as an ideal place for guests to recharge and retreat, as well as the perfect Southern California destination for receptions, ceremonies and other special events once complete by May 15, 2015.
“We look forward to kicking off spring with the opening of the new event lawn, yet this space is just a preview of the magnificent interior renovation that is already underway. Further, the new space will complement our creative culinary talent,” said Managing Director Jeff Rostek. “With a location so close to the airport, this hotel is being designed as the premier destination at LAX. We are excited to be able to share this preview and anticipate releasing the next phase very soon.”
Designed by New York City-based SWA Group, a world leader in landscape architecture, planning and urban design, the new event lawn is a lush and contemporary space centered around the swimming pool. Three distinct lawns are shaped by pathways and lined with diverse grasses, trees, shrubs, and succulents. Additionally, several cabanas have been incorporated to provide more private environments that make the perfect place to reboot and recharge. The new space will be able to accommodate functions of up to 750 guests, and the hotel sales department is currently accepting reservation requests.
The Concourse Hotel is located one block from Terminal 1 of Los Angeles International Airport, providing its travelers with easy access to the airport via complimentary shuttle service every 10 minutes and hyper-convenient meeting and event facilities for up to 1,500 attendees. Located just three miles to local Los Angeles beaches and 20 minutes to downtown Los Angeles, the hotel provides guests with easy access to short, local excursions. The hotel is a local leader in sustainable business practices, with a platinum-level Green Seal certification and four-key California Green Lodging certification.
