The Lido Group formally announces the launch of the AADX

Australian Accommodation Data Exchange -AADX – officially launched it new corporate site and online supplier portal aadx.com.au on the 2nd of May 2011.

The AADX has been developed to enable all accommodation providers online access to a management system allowing them to distribute flexible rate and inventory content to a range of clients and travel partners in a non GDS environment.

Benjamin Weinmann, Director of Supply and eCommerce for the AADX said; “The online supplier portal and ongoing roll out of the government’s National Broadband to more and more remote and regional areas gives all of our suppliers direct access to the many contracted Corporate and Government clients, Travel Management Partners and online booking sites that encapsulates the Corporate and Events Accommodation needs in Australia, New Zealand and Key international cities.”

Accommodation suppliers of any size can distribute their content directly via the AADX Portal or via their own API connecting the AADX directly into the hotels central reservation systems or through their approved Channel Manager including all the leading channel managers such as LEVART, STAAH, ResOnline, Update 247, and SiteMinder.

With the growth of online travel fulfillment and the growing need of Non GDS content to corporate travel management companies seeking to fill in gaps in fulfilling travel itineraries dynamically, the AADX delivers a cost effective means of distributing real time rates and inventory in a non GDS environment; Travel partners have the opportunity to book regional ,remote and independent accommodation suppliers often not listed within the GDS to enable transactions for their contracted corporate and government travellers.

Weinmann went on to say “The AADX’s ability to deliver enhanced data for both accommodation based spend (inventory & room costs) and incidental spends (known in the industry as guests folio items) via all major corporate charge and credit cards – AMEX, Diners Club, Mastercard and Visa is a powerful data collation point that enables deep data mining by organisations procurement management and key decision makers”.

Travellers can access the AADX content either through its custom designed online booking tool or via their corporate online booking tool, such as Serko Online, an award winning online booking tool that now enables its clients to access AADX content to fulfill seamless online transaction. Benjamin said, “The AADX suppliers portal supports the industry demand for dynamic pricing with elected programmes; First the fast growing government.travel soon to be followed by the Lido Groups “LEADS” programme – developed to support the shortening booking windows within the event industry. The Supply Team headed by Irene Williams are excited to announce this development and look forward to inviting our supply partners to participate in this development. Irene said that the team will be reaching out to all its supply partners with training and guidance on the use of the new platform that replaces lido.com.au/hotel

AADX General Manager Matt Tyler said; The AADX is focused on continued development of our unique exchange platform and making further efficiency gains available to the industry and place it on an equal footing what the airline industry uses via the major GDS. Our long established partnerships within the travel industry and reputation in the accommodation industry as an innovator has lead us to be the market leaders in our field of content management and aggregation. We will continue to focus the AADX development around its partner interactions and support the constant changes in the accommodation industry to help reduce costs throughout supply chain to all participants.
