Three weeks to go until completion of £3m Ballygally Castle refurbishment

When it throws open its doors again, the hotel will have 18 new '5 star coastal view' bedrooms including six family rooms making it one of the largest hotels on the Causeway Coastal Route with 54 bedrooms.

With just three weeks to go until the completion of the £3 million refurbishment of Ballygally Castle, Sir William Hastings, Chairman of Hastings Hotels, has announced that the 4-star hotel will officially re-open on Sunday 6th April 2014.

Located on the stunning Causeway Coastal Route, Ballygally Castle is just 45 minutes from the infamous Giants Causeway & Bushmills Distillery, Ireland’s oldest working distillery. For Games of Thrones fans, this is also the perfect spot from which to head out and explore some of the iconic sites where the series was filmed!

When it throws open its doors again, the hotel will have 18 new ‘5 star coastal view’ bedrooms including six family rooms making it one of the largest hotels on the Causeway Coastal Route with 54 bedrooms.

The River Room, has been replaced by the brand new Kintyre Ballroom which will now accommodate up to 250 people and offer stunning views over the castle gardens and stunning coastline all the way to the Mull of Kintyre.

Sir William Hastings, Chairman of Hastings Hotels said: “I am delighted to see the refurbishment of Ballygally Castle nearing its completion and am pleased to announce that we are well on track for the reopening on Sunday 6th April 2014.”

“Ballygally Castle is a very unique hotel and loved by people around the world. It is in a stunning location at the foot of the Causeway Coastal Route and with this £3 million refurbishment, it is our aim to give people even more reason to visit this beautiful part of Northern Ireland.

“A new bedroom wing has been constructed boasting 18 new Coastal Deluxe rooms and when complete will offer breathtaking views of Ballygally Bay, the Antrim Coast and the Mull of Kintyre. The Giro d’Italia is just a couple of months away too and we are delighted that Ballygally Castle will be part of the action as the route passes the hotel,” Sir William added.
