TrustYou publishes free e-book: A hotelier’s guide to designing smart guest surveys

In the e-book, hoteliers learn how to receive ongoing, responsive information about guests that help to outline areas for improving the hotel product.

MUNICH – Receiving and managing feedback is essential for hotels to improve operations, stay ahead of the competition, obtain valuable insights, and enable the best possible experience for their guests. TrustYou, the world’s largest guest feedback platform and expert in sophisticated hotel technology, offers TrustYou Stars, a guest satisfaction survey solution that helps hotels collect more review content. In order to share valuable insights with hotels on how to set up effective surveys, TrustYou published the free e-book Designing Smart Surveys – A Hotelier's Guide to Soliciting Feedback, which is now available for download. Actively collecting post-stay feedback has proven to be one of the most important sources of feedback for hotels; nearly 50 percent* of all guest reviews come from own guest satisfaction surveys. Additionally, survey responses are rated higher, on average, compared to feedback from other sources.**

In the e-book, hoteliers learn how to receive ongoing, responsive information about guests that help to outline areas for improving the hotel product. The e-book provides insight into understanding guest survey relevance, using surveys for market research, and researching the hotel’s reputation. Furthermore, it discusses desirable survey lengths, multilingual surveys practices, and how to create the most valuable survey questions. As hotels can benefit from collecting feedback in various ways, the e-book further explains how hotels can use reviews to achieve high conversion rates and gain better visibility online.

With TrustYou Stars, hotels can use their positive survey responses to directly impact bookings, as this feedback is pushed to TrustYou’s review platform and becomes part of the review summaries, called Meta Reviews. They can be found when travelers search for hotels on sites such as Google and Google Maps, KAYAK, Skyscanner, and Wego. Hotels can influence their review volume on Google with TrustYou Stars by encouraging guests to post their feedback directly on Google as a Google review, thereby actively growing review content for the hotel.
