Ultra Hotel Tel Aviv becomes first hotel in Israel to implement ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access

Israeli property leads region in guest convenience by allowing use of personal smart devices as digital guestroom keys.

STOCKHOLM – The Ultra Hotel Tel Aviv, a stylish and modern hotel situated in Tel Aviv's city center, has become the first hotel in Israel to implement ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access, streamlining the guest check in and check out experience and maximizing efficiency. With services designed to cater to the modern and independent traveler, the Ultra HotelTel Aviv can now boast a first-of-its-kind innovation in the region, providing guests with hotel and area info and the ability to use personal smart devices as guestroom access keys.

As the first Israeli property to adopt mobile access technology, the chic, luxurious hotel has differentiated itself from local competitors by offering this faster, more convenient and streamlined service, which addresses its guests' need for mobility and autonomy. The solution also cuts down on the use of plastic by eliminating the need to create traditional key cards, making it an environmentally friendly alternative.

"As a property that is renowned for providing our guests with a cutting-edge, design-centric environment, we are extremely proud to offer a solution that represents one of the newest advancements in mobile technology," said Tomer Poleg, General Manager at the Ultra Hotel Tel Aviv. "Guests tend to lose track of plastic keys far more often than their own mobile phones, so ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access provides us with a leading technological solution to both simplify and enhance our guests' experience, while increasing our ability to offer the highest standard in access security."

In order to meet the unique needs of both properties and their guests, ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access offers flexible integration options, including its own standalone app solution, which was utilized by the Ultra Hotel. For more robust mobile functionality, hoteliers can also opt to consolidate the solution into existing guest-facing property apps. Hotels that do not have their own app, but wish to offer some of the functionality of a customized solution, can leverage the capabilities of third party Certified Partner solutions.

Operating with secure Seos technology, ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access delivers unmatched security by working with a hotel's property-management system (PMS) to assign a guestroom and generate an encrypted digital key that is securely delivered to a guest's smartphone. The smartphone places the key in a secure digital key vault within the mobile app. When presented to the appropriate lock, the app then transmits the encrypted key over a secure-communication channel using the device's integrated Bluetooth. This protocol ensures that only authorized users are able to receive digital key information and gain access to the guestroom.
