Western Pennsylvania’s Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and its Five-Diamond/Five-Star falling Rock Hotel accepted into ALHI

Situated on 2,000 scenic mountain acres in Farmington, just 70 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, the 318-room Nemacolin Woodlands Resort is a year-round resort.

FARMINGTON, PA – The luxurious 2,000-acre Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Southwestern Pennsylvania has been accepted as the newest Member of Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI). Situated in the state’s picturesque Laurel Highlands, the resort offers 318 guest rooms and suites in distinct lodging options, which includes the AAA Five-Diamond/ Forbes Five-Star Falling Rock boutique hotel, the elegant and grand Chateau Lafayette, and the English Tudor-style The Lodge. The popular four-season mountain resort is now represented by ALHI to the North American Meetings & Incentive marketplace.

Situated on 2,000 scenic mountain acres in Farmington, just 70 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, the 318-room Nemacolin Woodlands Resort is a year-round resort that provides 35,000 square feet of meeting space as well as a very impressive array of amenities, recreational options, and dining facilities. Lodging options include the AAA Five-Diamond Falling Rock, which overlooks the 18th green of the acclaimed Mystic Rock championship golf course, and offers 42 exquisite guest rooms and suites and 24-hour butler service. Just steps from Falling Rock is the grand Horizon Point Conference Center, a 17,200-square-foot meeting and social venue featuring a ballroom, two meeting rooms, and outdoor terraces designed with the same Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired decor of Falling Rock. The French Renaissance-style Chateau Lafayette has 124 elegant guest rooms and suites, each featuring a vaulted ceiling, crystal chandelier and jetted tub. The 97-room The Lodge, which offers the warmth of an English country inn, features the Executive Conference Center, which has a total of 25 meeting rooms, an exhibit area, a 200-seat lecture hall, a business center, and two ballrooms.

Among the many recreational options available at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort are 36 holes of championship golf, which includes the prestigious PGA Tour-tested Mystic Rock, situated high atop the Pennsylvania Allegheny Mountains. Featuring truly beautiful scenery and designed by the legendary Pete Dye, Mystic Rock has played host to some of the world’s top professional golfers. The resort also offers the tricky par-70 The Links Course, providing majestic views and featuring a traditional mountain design, and The Nemacolin Golf Academy.

Additional recreational offerings include: the 140-acre The Nemacolin Field Club (offering The Shooting Academy with 35 sporting clay stations, the Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge, and archery); the internationally acclaimed Woodlands Spa and Healing Health Center (with 40 treatment rooms and offering nearly 100 services); a Wildlife Academy (with safari tours, dog sledding, and wildlife habitats); Mystic Mountain (with 7 skier-friendly trails and snow tubing);  Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin; and many shops. Plus, the resort features the Adventure Center, which offers many exceptional teambuilding program options. The Adventure Center has an Olympic caliber gymnasium, hiking, a 50-foot climbing wall, ropes course, downhill mountain biking, an 18-hole miniature golf course, paintball, a canopy (zipline) tour, bowling, and four tennis courts.

The resort, which also features an extensive art collection, provides 15 restaurants and lounges, including the AAA Five-Diamond restaurant Lautrec (housing authentic lithographs of renowned artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec), and the stylish upscale steakhouse Aqueous. The resort is 10 minutes from the Nemacolin Regional Airport, 20 miles from Connellsville Airport, 45 miles from Morgantown Airport/Hartfield, and 85 miles from Pittsburgh International Airport.

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort joins as ALHI’s only Member hotel in Southwestern Pennsylvania, and second Member hotel in Pennsylvania, joining the landmark Loews Philadelphia Hotel, which offers 581 newly restyled guest rooms and 47,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

In addition to its Membership is ALHI’s worldwide portfolio, the resort is a new option in the “ALHI Golf Collection” luxury brand segment, and Falling Rock is another fine option in the “ALHI Level 5 Collection” luxury brand segment.
