The evening celebrated the development of Grenada’s tourism and drove donations for Grenadian charities.

NEW YORK, NY – Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) expressed gratitude and appreciation to its valued partners and friends during its 2nd Annual Holiday Appreciation Dinner held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Cucina 8 1/2 Restaurant on W 57 Street, NYC.

The distinguished event was bolstered with the attendance of key representatives from GTA, including Mr. Randall Dolland, Chairman; Ms. Petra Roach, CEO; Ms. Christine Noel-Horsford, Director of Sales, USA; and Ms. Shanai St. Bernard, USA Sales Manager. Over 50 attendees, comprising travel advisors, media professionals, industry partners, and friends of Grenada gathered at this remarkable and unforgettable event.

Representatives from notable stakeholders such as Sandals Grenada, Calabash Hotel, Silversands, Mount Cinnamon, and Pleasant Holidays, among others, added to the vibrancy of the occasion. As a gesture of appreciation, Sandals Grenada, Silversands, Mount Cinnamon, and True Blue Bay Resort generously provided hotel stays, which also included Grenada Tourism Authority providing two complimentary JetBlue tickets as part of the Grand Prize.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of thirteen awards recognizing outstanding contributions to the development of Grenada’s tourism industry. Awardees included Letitia Smith of Phenomenal Moments Travel, Jamilla Martin of E.E.F.Y Travel LLC, Diandra Fraser of KaiDi Global, Melissa Noel of Mel&N Media Group, Corrine Mutarelli of Travel Showcase, James J. Killen of NYC ASTA, Andrew Sharpe of Authentic Caribbean Inc, Ruby Chadha of Make My Trip & Vice President, NYC ASTA, Sherryann Charlton of Sherry Destinations, Eartha Franklin of WOWcations, Brian Major of TravelPulse, Susan Peavey of Susan Peavey Travel and Joycelyn Julien of JJ Travel. The awards were presented in recognition of the recipients’ significant contributions, showcasing their dedication to the growth and promotion of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique.

In addition to the accolades, the event embraced a “spirit of giving”, with attendees bringing a total of 85 unwrapped toys for donation to less fortunate children in Grenada. This was complemented by the soulful tunes of Grenadian-born saxophonist Bryan Hurst.
