Social programme announced for TFWA World Exhibition & Conference

With face-to-face networking remaining a top priority within the industry, those in attendance will be able to take advantage of numerous opportunities throughout the week.

TFWA has confirmed a busy networking and social programme for TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2023, which will take place at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes from Sunday, 1st October to Thursday, 5th October.

With face-to-face networking remaining a top priority within the industry, those in attendance will be able to take advantage of numerous opportunities throughout the week. This year’s event will begin with a wheelchair rugby tournament on Sunday morning, organised by M1nd-set and supported by Puressentiel, the City of Cannes, TFWA and media partners TRBusiness and DFNI. This will then be followed in the evening by the Opening Cocktail held on the beautiful Carlton Beach from 19:00. Access to this and all social events is complimentary for all badge holders.

The popular TFWA Lounge will be back again this year, with both after-work and night-time sessions taking place between 18:30 – 21:00 and 22:00 – 01:00 respectively. On Wednesday evening, the festivities will conclude at the Lounge with a live music session. Qatar Duty Free will once again be the Main Partner of the TFWA Lounge this year. Additional information on sponsors will be announced soon.

Those wishing to take part in the wheelchair rugby tournament can find full details, including costs and how to register, here.

Alongside the social programme, the exhibition floor is the key place for exhibitors and delegates to conduct their meetings. To complement this, TFWA’s ONE2ONE meeting service offers introductions and organises meetings between exhibiting brands, key buyers, airports, cruise & ferry operators and airlines.

“Coming together to exchange ideas and conduct business in person is a vital component driving the success of the duty free and travel retail industry. We are glad to offer a social programme that will allow delegates to network in a relaxed atmosphere, and we are very much looking forward to connecting with friends and colleagues in Cannes in October.” said Erik Juul-Mortensen, TFWA President.
