A series of new Social Media Boot Camps by the Travel Institute and TravelFams.com educates participants in building and implementing their social media plans.
The Travel Institute and TravelFams.com hosted the first in a series of new Social Media Boot Camps, November 10 -14 in Cancun, facilitated by The Institute’s director of marketing and technology, Chelle Honiker, CTC.
Participants brought their own personal laptops and made The Grand Oasis Cancun the spot for their 3-day training boot camp. They were eager and excited to learn how to build and implement their own social media plan. Chelle delivered a series of exercises and tips on how to use Facebook to build an effective business page, WordPress information, and numerous tools and software travel professionals can use to simplify marketing effort.
Boot camp participants who were CTA, CTC or CTIE certified, also earned 10 CEU credits. “I had a wonderful group of dedicated and upbeat travel professionals for this session. I was honored to be the trainer for so many students who already have their CTA, CTC, or specialist designations,” commented Chelle Honiker, CTC.
Elaine Henry CTA, ACC, an accessible travel specialist commented, “Thank you for the wonderful way you introduced us to the different social media platforms and how best they can be adapted to our individual niche markets. I was particularly impressed by your knowledge of the various applications and devices available.
