The Valencia Conference Centre invests 2.25m. euros to increase its competitive edge

The support for investment over recent years has improved all aspects of conference operations by upgrading them to meet contemporary needs.

Over the last four years the Valencia Conference Centre has allocated 2.5 million euros to new investment, largely designed to make it more competitive. Next year, the venue will continue the trend, enhancing its technological potential with the latest market innovations while remaining true to its environmental commitment. This means it will continue to lead the field by delivering excellence in an industry as discerning as MICE tourism. To that end, 2.25 million euros is to be earmarked to maintain its leading position which will be funded equally by the City Council and the Conference Centre.

One of the especially significant initiatives is replacing the seating and carpets in the main auditoriums. The support forinvestment over recent years has improved all aspects of conference operations by upgrading them to meet contemporary needs. These aspects include the actual areas where events take place, in this case the building’s main auditoriums. After more than 21 years of use and as a result of the high level of activity, the seating in Auditoriums 1 and 2 will be replaced (some 2,000 seats in total).

Conference operations
The events in the pipeline herald an upbeat and buoyant year for conference operations. The initiatives undertaken in 2019 to attract international business have yielded encouraging results since half the conferences confirmed for 2020 will be in this area. That means the trend seen this year is set to continue.
