Ahead of opening in the Fall of 2024, this announcement further highlights the partnership between The Athens Group, Hatteras Sky and Pivot.
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Asher Adams, the first Autograph Collection hotel in downtown Salt Lake City that is under construction by The Athens Group with its partner, Hatteras Sky, has named its leadership team ahead of the opening in the fall of 2024. Pivot, the lifestyle operating vertical of Davidson Hospitality Group, the manager and operator of the hotel, has appointed:
- Niels Vuijsters, as the General Manager for Asher Adams. Niels brings over a decade of experience leading award-winning hotels across Arizona and Colorado. Most recently, he served as a luxury hospitality consultant for Auberge Resorts and previously held the position of Vice President of Operations at the Lodge & Spa at Bush Creek Ranch in Wyoming.
- Nancy Clayton, as the Director of Sales and Marketing. Nancy has over 25 years of successfully leading sales and marketing teams at lifestyle and branded hotels. Notably, she was the Director of Sales and Marketing for The Camby, Autograph Collection Hotel, in Phoenix, that is also operated by Pivot.

Niels Vuijsters and Nancy Clayton will play critical roles in the launch of Asher Adams; Vuijsters by creating an unparalleled guest experience and while Clayton markets the first Autograph Collection hotel in Salt Lake City as a highly desirable tourist and business destination.
Asher Adams is an adaptive reuse of the historic Union Pacific Depot Train Station, which first opened in 1909. The hotel will incorporate the historic train station with the addition of a new, eight-story guestroom tower with 225 guest rooms and suites including signature rooms in the train station itself. The boutique luxury hotel will feature a signature restaurant, a patisserie, two bars including a specialty bar located on the second floor of the Union Pacific building that will enjoy expansive views of downtown and the Wasatch Mountains, a state-of-the art fitness center, and meeting and event spaces. Visitors and hotel guests can also enjoy The Depot, a 17,000-square-foot live entertainment venue, operated by Live Nation, located at one end of the hotel.
Asher Adams is on the northside of The Gateway, allowing hotel guests immediate access to 650,000 square feet of dynamic dining, entertainment, shopping, and special events.
