Chris Mills is appointed as Vice President of Sales at Boom after over two years at Rented.

MIAMI – Boom, the pioneering AI platform for the short-term rental sector, has appointed Rented’s former Vice President of Sales to its executive team. Chris Mills, who spent over two years at the revenue management firm, brings with him over a decade of experience in the real estate and hospitality sectors. He is credited with helping to grow Rented from a small start-up alongside CEO Andrew McConnell, to its acquisition by TravelNet Solutions.

He was also a Senior Market Manager specializing in Luxury Portfolio Development at Airbnb for four years. Chris joins Boom as it prepares for rapid growth in the coming months to meet rising demand for innovative AI solutions in the short-term rental market. During his most recent role as Vice President of Sales at Rented, Chris oversaw and managed all sales operations for the company.

Chris Mills, Vice President of Sales at Boom, said: “Boom is truly at the cutting edge of AI and tech in the short-term rental market, and I am beyond excited to join at such a pivotal moment. By using AI to automate everything from guest messaging, marketing, dynamic pricing, revenue management, and more, Boom is genuinely on the cusp of overhauling operations and management in the short-term rental market. Joining Boom is a tremendous privilege, and I look forward to playing my part in helping property managers and owners ride out the coming AI wave.”

Shahar Goldboim, Founder & CEO of Boom, added: “Chris joining the Boom team means we are now ready to meet an approaching surge in demand for innovative AI solutions in the short-term rental sector. AI-driven tools like Boom will completely transform the industry, enabling property managers to automate a huge range of processes, tasks, and decisions across large portfolios – all while using their existing PMS platforms. This means managers and owners can run their businesses with fewer employees than ever before, massively reducing the impact of a labor shortage that has long impacted the industry. This all also frees up much-needed time and headspace for managers, enabling them to focus on the strategy stuff that really matters. The sector’s AI revolution is picking up the pace and, with Chris now on board, Boom is primed to lead the charge.”

Launched in 2023, Boom is an AI-driven tool that sits over the top of a property manager’s existing Property Management software (PMS). Boom acts as a ‘virtual workforce’ that automates day-to-day decision-making, freeing up time and headspace for property managers, who can instead focus on strategy and portfolio growth.

The tool automatically coordinates check-ins, responds to guest queries, schedules and predicts maintenance tasks and repairs, and takes care of accounting – all autonomously and without the input of a human property manager.

With a rapid onboarding process and proven boosts in revenue, conversion rates, and review scores, Boom is a company to watch in 2024.
