GRAND CAYMAN – Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa announce the appointment of Eduardo Bronte as its new Executive Sous Chef. With an impressive culinary background and a passion for creating extraordinary dining experiences, Chef Eduardo is set to raise the Grand Cayman resort’s already acclaimed food & beverage offerings to new heights.

“We’re extremely fortunate to have Chef Eduardo now enhancing our culinary offerings at Seafire,” said Steven Andre, Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa’s General Manager. “His dedication to blending unique flavors with global styles will bring a fresh perspective to our guests’ dining options.”

In his role as Executive Sous Chef, Chef Eduardo will be in charge of supporting all culinary programming at Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa. Classically trained in traditional European, Middle Eastern, Central/South American, Asian, Caribbean and North American techniques, his approach expertly finds the middle ground between tried-and-true favorites and bold new recipes.

Before joining the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa team, Chef Eduardo was the Executive Chef at InterContinental Luanda Miramar in Angola, another one of the IHG brand’s luxury five-star properties. Here, Chef Eduardo oversaw eight managers and a staff of 100+ team members, who all reported to him as the property’s culinary leader. In overseeing the operations of seven dining venues and a convention center with a banqueting capacity of 2,000 seats, he was responsible for designing and executing innovative and diverse menus and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

“My mission is to provide an exceptional culinary experience for all Seafire guests and Cayman residents, and to showcase the rich flavors of local and international cuisine,” said Chef Eduardo. “Since opening, this resort has built an esteemed reputation as one of the Caribbean’s most dynamic F&B destinations. I’m excited for the challenge of taking it to the next level.

At Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, a wide selection of fresh, local cuisine is dished up morning, noon and night at three stellar restaurants: Ave, where the simple, vibrant cuisine of the Mediterranean meets the bounty of Grand Cayman’s land and waters; Avecita, an exhibition-style “restaurant within a restaurant” that offers a much-sought-after nightly tasting menu; and Coccoloba, Seafire’s casual on-the-beach restaurant, which is part Mexican street taco joint, part beach hut. Additionally, the award-winning Library by the Sea cocktail lounge, opened in 2022, offers guests an immersive sensory experience, with dazzlingly creative cocktails and an unparalleled ambiance.
