MCO to get busier: How that will impact Orlando airport parking

Terminal Top Parking, North Park Place Economy Lot, South Park Place Economy Lot, Parking Garage A & B, Parking Garage C, and Valet Parking are the six lots available for short-term and long-term parking at Orlando International Airport.

Denver-based Frontier Airlines announced the addition of nine domestic and eight international routes from Orlando International Airport (MCO) last month, which will be operational from late October to December. This move increases Frontier Airlines' total destinations from MCO to 80, 15 of them being international. Frontier Airlines will now have 65 daily departures to all 80 destinations as a result of this step. Spirit Airlines, based in South Florida, is also expanding its service in MCO, increasing to 81 daily departures serving several US and international cities. With people beginning to travel again following the pandemic's devastation, the move by these airlines is expected to make the airport busier and increase passenger traffic in MCO. What will happen to Orlando airport parking then? It is almost certain that the parking lots will fill up quickly, and a lack of parking spaces will be a source of concern for you.

About Orlando airport parking
In 2019, MCO was Florida's busiest airport, handling approximately 50 million passengers. Even though the airport has six onsite parking lots, you may have to drive around all of them to find a parking spot, especially if you arrive late. If it's a peak season or holidays, you may have to spend more to get an Orlando airport parking spot. You may experience this every time you go to MCO and are forced to look for an offsite parking space. However, it won't always be easy to get an offsite parking space. How to solve the Orlando airport parking dilemma – arrive early or pre-book a parking spot!

Onsite Orlando airport parking
Terminal Top Parking, North Park Place Economy Lot, South Park Place Economy Lot, Parking Garage A & B, Parking Garage C, and Valet Parking are the six lots available for short-term and long-term parking at Orlando International Airport.

Terminal Top Parking provides covered parking and is conveniently located near Terminals A and B. The parking lot offers free parking for the first ten minutes. Following that, you will be charged $2 for the first 21 to 30 minutes and $1 for each additional 15 minutes. The daily maximum rate is $19, and you can park your vehicle for up to 45 days.

The North Park Place Economy and South Park Place Economy lots offer fenced uncovered parking. These lots are the best option for affordable short-term and long term airport parking. For the first ten minutes, you could use the lots for free. The lots charge $5 for parking for 11 minutes to three hours. The maximum daily rate is $10, and you can park your vehicle for up to 90 days. The lots also provide a free 24×7 shuttle service to and from the main terminal. Since there are no reservations required, the lots might fill up quickly. Parking Garages A, B, and C offer covered parking and are free for the first 20 minutes. Offsite Orlando airport parking
It is pointless to complain about the lack of an Orlando airport parking spot if you arrive late at the airport. With the increase in passenger volume, parking lot rates may rise at any time. Then, obtaining an offsite parking space may be the most viable option for you. Some garages offer free hourly parking, and most garages offer hourly parking for less than $10. Even the garages offer daily parking for as low as $5. However, some garages do not provide overnight parking, so double-check before you reserve a spot. You can do the booking through the garage's website or app, or you can always use the Way.com website or app to find surprising parking deals!

Hotel parking
Many of the hotels near Orlando airport offer parking even if you are not staying there. The hotel parking lots are secure and offer shuttle service to the airport. You could always get a better parking deal by checking external websites or apps or use the Way.com website or app to discover discounted hotel parking rates. Free Orlando airport parking
