Residence Inn hotel opened in Cupertino, California

Stylish and functional hotel design lets extended-stay guests thrive on the road.

CUPERTINO, CA – The 180-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in Cupertino, California opened on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Located at 19429 Stevens Creek Boulevard, the all-suite Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Sand Hill Property Company of Palo Alto, California.

The hotel is located in the exciting, new Main Street Cupertino mixed-use development, a favorite local destination, offering premier dining, shopping and entertainment options, and minutes away from the world’s largest technology giants in the Silicon Valley – including the new Apple Park Campus. The Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino is just eight miles from San Jose International Airport and offers convenient access to Levi’s Stadium, California’s Great America, Hakone Gardens, Saratoga Springs and the Mountain Winery with spectacular views of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Rates vary depending on length of stay.

“We are pleased to introduce Residence Inn hotels in the Cupertino area,” said Diane Mayer, vice president and global brand manager, Residence Inn. “When on the road for an extended period, our guests need space to spread out, maintain their life’s pace and restore their energy to help them maintain a healthy balance and routine while traveling. This new hotel offers them a seamless blend of modern style and functionality that allows them to settle in and thrive.”

The custom-built Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino is an all-suite hotel that offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites and features imported Italian furnishings and upgraded bath fixtures in all suites. Guests looking for a revitalizing sleep experience will enjoy the hotel’s plush mattresses and crisp linens along with double-pane windows to block out the outside noise, while guests focused on being productive will value their suite’s large, well-lit work desk, ergonomic chair and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Designed for stays of five nights or more, each suite also has a fully-equipped kitchen with a coffeemaker, microwave oven and residential-sized appliances.

The Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino rotates a wide selection of healthy choices at our free hot breakfast every day. Start with favorites like bacon and eggs, Greek yogurt, cut fruit or waffles and make it yours with our extensive toppings, ranging from fresh spinach and cheese to sliced almonds and strawberries. Enjoy all the options you need to start your morning with endless possibilities.

“We are excited to be one step closer to completing the vision for Main Street Cupertino,” said Sand Hill Property Company managing director, Michael Kramer. “Main Street is a prime example of how a walkable, true mixed-use development with a variety and balance of complementary land uses, designed to proper density and scale, can bring vibrancy to an underutilized property. Main Street has been a popular destination since day one, and is home to long-time Cupertino favorites such as Alexander’s Steakhouse and Howard's Shoes, as well as popular new businesses such as Lazy Dog and Oren’s Hummus. The Residence Inn by Marriott at Main Street will extend Cupertino’s hospitality to visiting guests, while also providing amenities for residents, such as a 400-seat banquet and meeting hall, and will bring even year-round and weeklong activities.”

Extending the feeling of comfortable living on the road, the Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino offers guests inviting and functional public spaces to relax or collaborate. Road warriors and families alike enjoy the hotel’s grocery delivery service, complimentary Wi-Fi, 24-hour onsite food and beverage market, dry cleaning services, and complimentary onsite guest laundry facilities. The hotel’s full-service bar offers a range of local beers and wines as well as small bites to eat. The Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino also offers an exercise facility with state-of-the art equipment, a business library where guests can fax, copy and print materials, and features an expansive ballroom with over 4,000 square feet of space that can be used for a wide range of events. The hotel’s weeknight evening gatherings – the RI MixO offer a casual, relaxing environment where guests can be as social as they want, while enjoying premium beers and connection to local flavors.
