AVIAREPS will support Saudia’s expansion in Europe with strategic press work in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.

MUNICH, GERMANY - Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, appointed AVIAREPS as pan-European PR Agency. With immediate effect, AVIAREPS, the world’s leading international representation, marketing and communications company for aviation, tourism, hospitality, and food & beverage brands, will be responsible for the airline’s PR activities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Saudia, formerly known as Saudi Arabian Airlines, is the third largest airline in the Middle East and a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance. From its main hub in Jeddah and its two secondary hubs in Riyadh and Dammam, Saudia operates domestic and international flights to over 100 destinations worldwide. During the first half of 2022, the airline transported 11.6 million passengers, which
represents an 80% increase over the same period in 2021. Europe is an especially important market for Saudia, as the airline recently introduced direct flights from Saudi Arabia to several destinations in Switzerland, Spain and Greece and plans to further expand its network in Europe. In August, Saudia celebrated the 55th anniversary of its first flights to London, Frankfurt and Geneva.

AVIAREPS will support Saudia’s expansion in Europe with strategic press work in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. With its extensive network of owned offices in Europe, AVIAREPS ensures a coordinated PR approach in all eight countries. Managed by the hub in Munich, AVIAREPS’ local teams of PR experts in the markets will develop strong and effective PR activities in line with Saudia’s overall communication strategy for Europe and adapt them to the local markets.

Edgar Lacker, CEO AVIAREPS: “We are extremely proud about the appointment as pan-European PR agency for Saudia. With our local AVIAREPS offices in all eight countries, we are able to coordinate PR activities centrally from our hub in Munich and to adapt and further develop them locally through our experts in the markets. We look forward to utilizing our knowledge of the local markets and our strong media connections to position Saudia as a top-of-mind airline for travelers from Europe.”
