ABAV 2013: Great business opportunities, professional recognition and focus on excellence

Participants from all segments and niches of the extensive and complex market of travel and tourism, both domestic and foreign, have been unanimous in their praise of the outcome achieved, which prevails despite any particular criticism that may have been expressed.

After months of planning and dedication, we have closed the 41st Tourism Fair of the Americas – ABAV 2013, in Sao Paulo, with an absolute sense of accomplishment.

According to all news articles, which guaranteed the largest and best coverage of the event of all times, in Brazil and abroad, the success we achieved resonates in countless complimentary accounts and thousands of articles compiled from the various sources of information that attended the event.

Participants from all segments and niches of the extensive and complex market of travel and tourism, both domestic and foreign, have been unanimous in their praise of the outcome achieved, which prevails despite any particular criticism that may have been expressed.

In addition to acting out its slogan, “your business destination”, it is important to point out that the ABAV 2013 event was also the stage for the contagious joy caused by the launch of a campaign for the appreciation of travel agents, translated into a music video that adapts the hit song “Eu nao existo longe de voce” [“I don’t exist when I’m not with you”], made famous by Brazilian duo Claudinho e Buchecha, to correctly promote the concept that “tourism does not exists without agents” and “agents do not exist without tourism”.

It was an unmistakable demonstration of how information technology, combined with social networks, can and must be efficiently used to strengthen and expand the perception of consumers about the real importance of value-added consultancy and professional services provided by travel agencies.

Merit must be shared among all public and private entities that work together in the pursuit of a common purpose, and we also acknowledge the role performed by authorities dedicated to the same cause. Ultimately, it is the industry’s sustainable development.

However, without losing focus and always seeking excellence, ABAV Nacional is always mindful of improvements and innovations that can and will be made in order to constantly enhance future editions of the event – allowing for early excellent expectations regarding the International Tourism Expo – ABAV 2014.
