Aeroflot and Pobeda launch summer timetable

This summer Aeroflot will fly to 131 destinations in 50 countries, including 45 cities in Russia and 14 destinations in CIS. This summer Pobeda plans to fly to 60 destinations, including regular flights to Cyprus.

MOSCOW – On March 27, 2016 Aeroflot starts its summer schedule valid until October 29, 2016. This summer Aeroflot will fly to 131 destinations in 50 countries, including 45 cities in Russia and 14 destinations in CIS (in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Uzbekistan). Other foreign destinations will include 72 cities, 50 in Europe, 13 in Asia, 5 in Americas, 4 in Middle East. The renewal of flights to Egypt is not planned by now.

Compared to the previous summer, current schedule is expanded with six destinations in Kazakhstan. Three promising tourist destinations are launched in Europe: starting from June 1, 2016 Aeroflot will fly to Valencia and Alicante (Spain), starting from June 3, 2016 to Lyon (France).

The most significant changes are expected on domestic market: the domestic network will unite more than 150 destinations within Aeroflot Group of companies – a record number in Aeroflot’s history.

A milestone summer event for Aeroflot Group will be the launch of the merged airline under the brand name Rossiya. The new company will integrate three Aeroflot subsidiaries: Rossiya, Donavia and Orenair. The new carrier will provide services in the middle price segment. It is expected that Rossiya will operate the fleet of 74 aircraft and will transport around 10 mln. passengers per year. The list of Aeroflot Group subsidiaries will be still presented by the Far East regional airline Aurora and low-cost carrier Pobeda, that has achieved unprecedented growth rates.

On the eve of the holiday season special attention is given to the Russian Black Sea coast. An extensive flight programme from Simferopol includes such destinations as Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Mineralnye Vody, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Perm, Rostov, Tyumen, Ufa and Chelyabinsk. Regular Aeroflot Group’s flights will link Krasnodar and Yekaterinburg, Orenburg, Anapa and Sochi.

The Far East of Russia will be provided with seamless air connection both with the Russian regions and neighboring countries: additional flights will be operated to Dalian, Hong Kong, Harbin, Beijing, Busan and Seoul.

The Aeroflot Group network in Summer 2016 will include 290 destinations in 51 countries worldwide.
 
In total during Summer Season 2016 Aeroflot Group together with its subsidiary companies and code sharing partners will fly to 417 unique destinations in 68 countries, including Russia, 383 destinations – non-recurring.

On March 27, 2016 Pobeda starts its summer schedule valid until October 29, 2016. This summer Pobeda plans to fly to 60 destinations, including regular flights to Cyprus. Starting from April 30, 2016 carrier launches daily flights to Larnaca, starting from May 29, 2016 – two flights per week to Paphos. All international destinations that Pobeda was performing during its winter schedule will remain this summer: Bergamo, Bratislava, Cologne and Memmingen.

In accordance with best practices among world low-cost carriers Pobeda chooses the closest airports to the popular cities in order to offer to its passengers attractive and affordable prices. That’s why Pobeda has organized Fly&Bus service. Fly&Bus is a special shuttle service to transport passengers from the airport to the city center: from Memmingen to Munich, from Bergamo to Milan, from Bratislava to Vienna.

Pobeda’s international route network consists of 10 destinations in Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Switzerland and Cyprus. All international flights are operated from Moscow Vnukovo airport with convenient connections for regional flights.

Pobeda’s international network is actively developing nowadays, but the main focus is on the Russian domestic destinations. One of the most crucial goals for the low cost carrier is to increase the mobility of the Russian citizens in the country’s regions. That’s why in its summer schedule Pobeda has presented a unique programme of flights from different Russian cities to Anapa and Sochi. Passengers could het to these cities from Astrakhan, Belgorod, Volgograd, Voronezh, Vladikavkaz, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Kirov, Magnitogorsk, Moscow, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Samara, Tyumen, Ufa, Cheboksary, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl.

From Moscow Vnukovo airport Pobeda offers 22 flights to the Russian cities , from St. Petersburg – 3, from Makhachkala – 2, from Yekaterinburg – 1.

Pobeda is a part of Aeroflot Group and operates according to a classic low-cost carrier model. Pobeda operates new modern Boeing B737-800 Next Generation (NG) fleet. The average age of Pobeda aircraft’s is around one year. The unique low-cost model gives an opportunity to passengers to control the total cost of the flight and select only necessary services. The minimum fare (999 RUB inclusive fees and taxes) includes a flight on a chosen route, baggage up to 10 kg and the cabin baggage – personal belongings (handbag, case, etc.). A complete list of personal items allowed for free carriage in the cabin is regulated by Federal Aviation Regulations.

Pobeda is one of the youngest airlines in Russia and already is among TOP-5 largest national carriers. In 2015 Pobeda has transported more than 3 mln. passengers. Such kind of growth confirms the highest demand for low-cost airlines in Russia.
