The event area is located at the Berlin Brandenburg Airport at Willy-Brandt-Platz in Airport City.
With your feet on the concrete and with the wind in your face: On Saturday 14th April 2018, the Berlin Brandenburg Airport will again be transformed into a running track for one evening. The 12th Airport Night Run will lead participants along the terminal and the piers, under the passenger boarding bridges, over and round the runway and the apron. The start and finish area is located under the terminal roof. Participants can choose from four disciplines altogether: Half-marathon, 10 kilometre run, 10 kilometre power walk and the 4×4 kilometre team relay.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Engelbert Lutke Daldrup, CEO of Flughafen Berlin Bran-denburg GmbH, said: "Running across the illuminated southern runway is still something special. This is also proved with the approximate 5,000 people signing up. Running enthusiasts are warmly invited and can still register now on one of the last opportunities to take part. Start time
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Engelbert Lutke Daldrup will fire the starting pistol at 19:05. The runners and walkers of the 10km distance, as well as those in the 4×4 kilometre team relay, start at 19:30. Participants in each race can prepare themselves with the official warm-up, around 25 minutes before the start of the race. Asides from the best runners in all disciplines, the company with the best time and the most participants as well as the fastest team relay, will be rewarded.
Arrival and on-site assistance
The event area is located at the Berlin Brandenburg Airport at Willy-Brandt-Platz in Airport City. Free parking is limited on site. It is recommended to start your journey to the airport early, to form ride sharing groups or use public transport. Between 15:00 and midnight, there are free shuttle buses between the S-Bahn station at Berlin-Schonefeld and the event location.
In the start area, runners have the chance to use the toilets, changing rooms, showers as well as the storage lockers. Visitors and accompanying people can cheer on the participants in the start and finish area. Support on the route is not possible.
