CTC Travel receives “Most Entrepreneurial Travel Company Award”

CTC Travel was recognized as the Most Entrepreneurial Travel Company at the recent 21st TTG Asia Awards 2010 held in Bangkok, Thailand. Conferred for the first time this year, the award in the Outstanding Achievement category was handpicked by the TTG editorial team based on CTC Travel’s enterprising new business model that serves as a visionary model to the travel industry.

“We are honoured to have received the recognition from TTG Asia, leading publisher and organiser of events in travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region. In 2007, we started to explore our vertical growth overseas into Shanghai and evolved into CTC Tourism Holdings. Our overseas portfolio today includes management of two hotels, a restaurant, a rooftop lounge, theatre productions and event management,” said Wee Hee Ling, CEO of CTC Tourism Holdings, parent company of CTC Travel. “We strive to continue our pursuit of New Horizons, making CTC Tourism Holdings to be a regional tourism corporation that Singapore is proud of,” added Wee.

CTC has much to celebrate in 2010. Marking their 20th year of operations in the travel industry, CTC has recently undergone a significant re-branding exercise, giving their corporate identity a fresh look. The new logo symbolizes CTC’s dynamism and represents the company’s constant pursuit of creativity and innovation.

In late September, CTC Tourism moved into ONE Commonwealth Lane in Singapore, a brand new 14,000-square-foot corporate office that they invested in. At the same time, CTC Travel also introduced the “Private Collection, CTC Travel Concierge” service that caters to high net worth leisure travellers in a plush, exclusive private lounge environment.

On 25 August 2010, CTC Travel was awarded the ISO 9001 Certification as the company continues to map towards an Excellence Quality journey to show their commitment to valued customers.

To qualify for the ISO 9001 accreditation, a Quality Management System has to be incorporated in the organization to manage its processes or activities so that its services and products meet the objectives that satisfy the customer’s quality requirements.

Moving forward, CTC Travel strives for continual improvement and will receive annual audit by an external certification body.
