BalticMiles receives Global Loyalty Award for second year in row

BalticMiles received the award for its ‘Burn the Miles’ campaign.

RIGA – During the Loyalty 2014 event, organized by Flight Global and leading magazine Airline Business, multi-partner loyalty program BalticMiles, owned and operated by Coalition Rewards Ltd, has received the Loyalty 2014 award in the prestigious Management Category. This is the second year in a row BalticMiles has been recognized as one of the best loyalty programs worldwide during this event in Amsterdam attended by many of the world’s leading airline, hotel and retail brands.

BalticMiles received the award for its ‘Burn the Miles’ campaign. The campaign, created in cooperation with Endomondo, gave program members the possibility to collect Points for burning calories. As a result of the campaign BalticMiles member participation increased significantly in the program and the campaign was chosen by various magazines around the world as one of the top trends to watch for its smart combination of a focus on health, gamification and loyalty.

BalticMiles received one of the three Loyalty 2014 awards presented this year, with Virgin Australia and Ireland based fuel retailer Topaz receiving the other two.

Gabi Kool, Chief Executive Officer of Coalition Rewards Ltd, says: “We are happy and thrilled to receive this recognition for our work for the second year in a row. It is a great honor for our company to be recognized on a global stage like this. We are always looking to create value for our members and we see this recognition as an encouragement to move forward even faster. We are about to announce another series of program innovations in the coming months and we are hopeful that these improvements once again receive such strong and positive feedback from the program members and partners.”

Launched in October 2009, BalticMiles is the leading multi-partner loyalty program in Northern and Eastern Europe and Russia. It is owned and operated by Coalition Rewards Ltd., which, in turn, is owned by Latvian national carrier airBaltic. BalticMiles has numerous ways to collect Points at more than 20 000 places throughout the world – flights, trips, hotel stays, car rentals, restaurants, beauty salons and spa treatments, health care, telecoms, and finance, as well as while shopping for over 400 international brands at BalticMiles’ online store. Points can be used for free flight tickets, leisure time activities and adventures, music downloads, and on the over 3, 000 products available at BalticMiles.com.
