CEIR announces Predict 2015 in Chicago

Predict is the only conference within the exhibition industry that identifies and addresses each individual sector," says Chris Brown, 2014 CEIR Predict Program Committee Chair.

DALLAS – With the success of this year’s Predict: CEIR‘s Annual Exhibition Industry Outlook Conference still resonating, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research is already gearing up for next year’s conference, to be held 16-17 September 2015 in Chicago, Ill.

The information we develop and present at Predict is in a constant state of motion,” says CEIR President and CEO Brian Casey, CEM. “Knowing how dynamic this industry is, we amped up Predict’s format to a whole new level of usefulness to attendees. We plan to expand on this for next year’s conference.”

Ron Insana, Senior Analyst and Commentator for CNBC, hosted the fast-paced 2014 CEIR Predict program featuring Moody’s Analytics Director Ryan Sweet, as well as expert panelists from all sectors of the exhibition industry. Cautious optimism seemed to be the main outlook for the overall economy as well as exhibition industry performance, both of which are measured and compared in the annual CEIR Index.

“Predict is the only conference within the exhibition industry that identifies and addresses each individual sector,” said Chris Brown, 2014 CEIR Predict Program Committee Chair. “It combines the predictive data from the CEIR Index with cutting-edge insight into the overall economy, giving attendees a jump start on what to expect and how to plan for it.”

The CEIR Index Report provides an objective measure of the annual performance of the exhibition industry by measuring year-over-year changes in four key metrics: NSF of exhibit space sold, professional attendance, number of exhibiting companies and total event gross revenue. It details performance for 14 industry sectors and the overall industry. This year’s report provides data from 2000 through 2013 with a predictive forecast through 2016.
