Consolidation of the brand and investments in 'green' mobility with the first tests for electric buses: this is the 'road-map' of the City Sightseeing Italy Group drawn up by the President of the Group, ing. Fabio Maddii, during the convention recently held in Monteriggioni (Siena) with the participation of the 14 Italian cities partner where the well-known bus operator has been operating with growing commercial successes.

"We close the financial year 2017 – highlighted mr. Fabio Maddii – with a total movement of about 1.7 million travelers equal to an increase of + 3%, but the real challenges are for the immediate future with investments aimed at 'green' mobility and the 'in some cities of our network of tests of routes made with electric buses'. In Italy, City Sightseeing, thanks to an agreement that is about to be signed with Enel, will be the first bus operator to adopt the 'green' turnaround decreed in the Plan on Tourist Mobility recently presented by the ministry of Transport and shared by the Tourism Ministry, as the cornerstone of the Strategic Plan for Tourism."

"We have already presented to ministery" Maddii added "four projects for the diversification of the tourist excursion offer in many popular destinations. We hope that you will soon be able to take part in the ministerial  work tables to verify the effective sharing of these strategies that aim to valorize other areas of our incoming classic destinations and at the same time decongest and de-seasonalize according to the logic of that widespread tourism. A formula that can really revive our country in international markets. The goal for 2018 – concluded Maddii – is also to grow also in the tour operating division after having found a + 40% in the sale of extra-bus products, which demonstrates the confidence of customers towards City Sightseeing not only as a bus operator, but also as a tour operator."

More than 60 participants of the City Sightseeing Italy Convention were then illustrated the peculiarities of the new group portal, the implementation of the digital questionnaire for customer satisfaction, the new marketing agreements planned for 2018 and renewed partnership with Trenitalia.
