Karen Walker joins as Head of Travel Underwriting; Laurence Stubbington joins as Head of Commercial.
LONDON – Collinson Group, has further bolstered its Travel Insurance capability with two new hires as it targets international growth.
Karen Walker joins as Head of Travel Underwriting and will lead the underwriting strategy for personal lines business across direct, white label and affinity products. Karen will also be responsible for the product development and rating of solutions for the European and International market, with the airline sector in particular a key focus for the group’s suite of added-value travel products.
Karen joins from AIG where she spent 13 years in underwriting, more latterly as Global Head of Travel Underwriting where she gained significant experience of multinational business with airline and financial services partners, working with multiple regional offices and service centres.
Laurence Stubbington heads up the commercial and account management team across travel insurance and is also responsible for the development of Collinson Group’s travel business within the UK.
Laurence brings over 15 years’ experience across client relationship management, business development and insurance underwriting and has held senior management roles in companies including Allianz Global Assistance, RBS Insurance and ACE Group (now Chubb).
Laurence joins from Chubb where, as Travel Product Manager, he was responsible for all affinity-related travel business within the Accident & Health division for its UK and Ireland operations.
Both will be based between Collinson Group’s offices in London and Haywards Heath and report to Head of Travel Insurance, Greg Lawson.
