Cologne Bonn welcomes the arrival of Pobeda

Representing the airport’s only service to Russia at this time, the daily flight is also Pobeda’s first German operation.

Cologne Bonn Airport celebrated the arrival of new airline partner Pobeda, welcoming the low-cost carrier’s inaugural flight from Moscow Vnukovo. Representing the airport’s only service to Russia at this time, the daily flight is also Pobeda’s first German operation.

Commenting at the launch, Michael Garvens, Chairman of the Management Board, Cologne Bonn Airport said: “It is a great tribute that Pobeda has selected Cologne Bonn Airport as its first connection to Germany. Being Russia’s only low-cost airline, our new airline partner fits perfectly with our airport and future strategy.”

Onboard the inaugural flight Andrey Kalmykov, CEO, Pobeda Airlines stated: “Our new low-cost link between Moscow and Cologne Bonn promotes economic relations between our countries whilst boosting tourism. We look forward to welcoming many German and Russian, leisure and business, customers.”
