With a small pause in 2011, Czech Airlines named for eleventh time Best Airline in TTG Travel Awards from 2001 until today.
Czech Airlines has once again been honored as the Best Airline in the TTG Travel Awards competition. The airline has won this award eleven times in the fourteen-year history of the competition. The title is awarded annually on the basis of a survey of tourism experts and the general public.
In the Best Airline category, the quality of the services and offer of airlines operating on the Czech market was rated by nearly one thousand industry professionals. The general public also participated in the selection of the winners through an Internet survey, with more than 30,000 unique visitors completing the evaluation forms on the Sdovolena.cz web portal. The awards were presented at a ceremony held on Friday, November 9, 2012.
“First place in the Best Airline category in the prestigious TTG Travel Awards is like a report card for Czech Airlines, assessing the nearly three years of work on the airline’s transformation and restructuring. I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who voted for Czech Airlines. We value their votes very much, and understand them not only as appreciation, but also as an expression of support, and as a challenge for the future,” added Jir Marek, member of the Management Board and Vice President of Czech Airlines for Sales and Marketing.
“The TTG Travel Awards are a prestigious survey organized by the tourism magazine TTG Czech, and are considered to be one of the highest-quality ratings of companies active in tourism in the Czech Republic. The winners are chosen by experts, as well as by the general public. In order to balance these forces, each expert’s vote carries the weight of fifteen votes from the public,” explained TTG’s CEO Amara Zemplinerov.
TTG is an international magazine and one of the most important titles for tourism professionals, which has featured information about the latest industry trends and events in dozens of countries for more than 50 years. In the Czech Republic, the magazine has been published for 21 years. The first TTG Travel Awards were presented in 1999, and Czech Airlines has won the Best Airline category a total of eleven times, for the years 2001 through 2010, and again this year for 2012.
