DFW International Airport celebrates opening of first post-security airport 7-Eleven location in Terminal A

DFW Airport partners honor Veterans Day with community donations to Texas Christian University Reserve Officers' Training Corps and Dallas Fort Worth United Service Organizations chapters.

DFW AIRPORT, TEXAS – Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport celebrated the opening of the first post-security airport 7-Eleven location by hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony and honoring Veterans Day with 7-Eleven community donations to Texas Christian University (TCU) Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) and Dallas Fort Worth United Service Organizations (USO) chapters.

Located in the newly renovated Terminal A near gate A25, this 7-Eleven store is a partnership between Paradies Lagardere Travel Retail and 7-Eleven. The donation of $711 to TCU ROTC came from the 7-Eleven Project A Game, where franchisees and corporate store managers identify a local school with a specific need. The DFW USO chapter also benefited from Paradies Lagardere Travel Retail with the same amount. The donation at the grand opening ceremony highlighted the commitment 7-Eleven and Paradies Lagardere Travel Retail has to community service.

“The opening of the first 7-Eleven at Terminal A inside security at a U.S. Airport sets DFW Airport apart from other airports,” said Ken Buchanan, executive vice president of revenue management at DFW. “This is another opportunity to cater to our customers from around the world familiar with the 7-Eleven brand and deliver a customer experience only found at DFW. We are proud to have a local Texas brand at our airport to serve the more than 63 million passengers we have each year.”

7-Eleven created an exclusive, value-priced “snack pack” for DFW Airport for the traveler, only available at this store.

This 1,320-square-foot store caters to passengers and airport employees, and features a contemporary design that embraces the recently renovated terminal’s aesthetics.

Paradies Lagardere Travel Retail currently operates 32 stores in DFW Airport, including travel essential and specialty retail concepts. The company will open a second 7-Eleven store in the airport in 2016 and was recently awarded two significant food and beverage contracts featuring Texas culinary legend Kent Rathbun.
